I was at Blanchard liquors in Marshfield last night. They are having a 25% off sale on all of their wines through Saturday by the way in case you are interested. When strolling down one of the isles, I noticed a huge display for Monkey Bay. Although I'm not a big Sauvignon Blanc fan, I thought I would try a bottle. Much to my dismay, the whole rack was empty. Must be a lot of Monkey Bay fans out there.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm probably going to wait 'til next Saturday. There's a liquor store in Quincy/Wollaston that is doing a big tasting next Saturday, over 100 wines, from 2-6 that I'm going to check out. They do a big discount too on the wines, and carry it through the rest of the month, which is nice, so you don't have to decide right then and there. It's Wollaston Wine & Spirits. www.wallastonwines.com

Yeah, I'm not a huge Sauvignon Blanc fan either. I had the Monkey Bay again the other night, for the first time after trying it in a restaurant, and it was as good as I remembered, very fragrant, with a crisp, and very strong grapefruit scent.

And thank you for the heads up. I may have to stop in. That souds very interesting. I grew up in Quincy and was at that liquor store quite often in my much younger days. I can remember way back when it was a very little store.
